Deception is a mastered art for those of us who have played the game of faces. Well, if you haven't yet watched the Game of Thrones, don't bother because this is just a reference to elucidate the idea that I ought to reflect throughout this post, or is it?

All my life, I've been telling lies. My folks or folks around me, not a single human who I've met has ever been rewarded with my completely truthful side. Skeptical about being acquainted to me now? It's not as if my lies are malicious or even self-serving. Lying is a weird sort of personality test that I've created to understand a person's credulity. I often do this with some enthralling stories of my own invention with intricate details that make them persuasive. Being deceptive comes with it's own cons so do not try it, it's dangerous.

Despite it being an unpaid judgement of a person's character, it never really helps me know them completely or even 1/4th of their personality. This is mostly because all of us are ever changing. We might be the most intelligent of all species (that we know of), but that won't help us ever fully understand ourselves. As you read this article, you're changing, but why? Because we live in a world where behavior is contagious. Every thing that anyone you've ever met does is contagious and subconsciously you might've even adapted it into your way of doing things. Regardless of that, we're all unique, given the diversity of the community that we have been surrounded by. Have I started to sound like I know a lot? Well, if so, I love doing that while telling made-up stories to people, it increases their gullibility.

If it doesn't help me much, why do I even do it? Mostly because storytelling is the first step to literature. Fibbing gets me stories which help my mind brainstorm ways to make them look convincing in spite of them being gravely untrue. Okay, I'll stop messing with you there. Only a deception specialist can identify deceit hence making salvation easier in a noxious world like ours. Everyone has an evil side which is ineluctable. All we can do is defend ourselves and others from it by preserving our benevolence. With that being said, fib for fun not for malice after all we all play the game of faces at some point or the other.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed this article, let me know in the comment section below! Until next time ;)
